Work Wear Chic: Office Outfit of the Day

Have I mentioned lately how much I miss New York? I moved four hours north of the city a little over a year ago and it has NOT gotten any easier.  My decision to move was completely logical  AND the right thing to do, but I swear not being inspired by ANY form of street fashion K-I-L-L-S me! Boston, friends, is an interesting city. And that’s all I have to say about that!

Anyhoo, guess how I get through the fashion dumps, as I like to call them? I make it a point to pick out a cute/chic work outfit every single day.  Yup, very few of us actually ever feel like going to work or school, but this is the single way I know how to make myself get out of bed every morning at 5:30am. Yeah, that’s right 5:30am!

Now that we are very much into fall, I find myself reaching for more classic pieces like pencil skirts and sweaters, but I still manage to throw in something trendy.  I’m still, of course, loving the chunky chain link necklace trend, large studs, and leopard leopard leopard!

To get ready for work yesterday, the first thing I did was hop onto Polyvore to mix and match possible outfits before going into my closet to find something similar, and let’s face it, CHEAP! How did I do?

Well Hello! My name is Lisa and you’ve stumbled upon my own little corner of the world. I’m a lipstick-loving, high heel junkie, mom, and wife. When I’m not here bringing you the latest in beauty, fashion, hot topics, and bits and pieces of my life with my family, you can find me over on youtube swatching lipsticks and sharing my latest natural hairstyles. Make sure you also follow me on Instagram and Snapchat under my brand name Lisa A La Mode. I’m a real person. I promise.

  1. Very cute outfit, I’ve been forcing myself to shop my closet more. As a fellow Bostoner I will agree that things are a little dull over here, but I enjoy the street styles that I see. Nothing too adventurous, this city is a bit conservative but I like what I see.

    1. Hey there! Thanks for stopping by! I don’t want to come off as I’m bashing this city. It’s a lovely city (except for the still very evident racism against black people.) I just haven’t had the experience where i’ve been really inspired to try what someone else is rocking. You know? Still. it’s a cute city overall. VERY clean, too! haha. xoxo
