Fashion Fair Perfect Finish Cream-to-Powder Foundation Review

Fashion Fair Perfect FinisH Cream-to-Powder Review

My quest to find THE PERFECT foundation may have just come to an end.  Okay, that may be a slight exageration since I’m scheduled to be reviewing a few more soon, but the Fashion Fair Perfect Finish Cream-to-Powder Foundation is putting up some stiff competition. As you know, I reviewed some of my favorite drugstore foundations in this post a few months back, however, my skin has been  going through her yearly changes, so I needed to up the anty a bit.

As you can see from this image, I’m fighting hyper pigmentation from old and sometimes new acne.  #notfun. But fear not, Fashion Fair Perfect Finish® Cream-to-Powder Foundation has been coming to my rescue for the last 4+ weeks, and I’m ever so grateful.

Before coming upon this foundation, I had taken a trip to Sephora and taken home some samples of Lancome and Cover FX, but alas, I got no where fast. But then a friend suggested I give Fashion Fair a whirl, and despite my hesitation (for some reason, Fashion Fair seemed like a brand I’d leave to my Grandma), I took her advice. And now I think I may be hooked. Maybe.

Look at that perfect coverage! Okay, onto the nitty gritty.

Pros:

  • Buildable coverage
  • Reasonably priced. Buy it here for $25 at select Macy’s stores.
  • Doesn’t cause breakouts
  • 17  colors to choose from

Cons:

  • It transfers; so forget about touching your face after application.
  • It requires the use of a setting powder to really help keep your skin matte all day. I tried a few from low end, to high end, and the one that is actually working for me is the ELF HD setting powder. Buy it here.
  • Despite the use of a setting powder, if you’re an oily girl like me, you’ll still need to blot once or twice during a 12 hour period.

All in all, I’m really enjoying this foundation and the natural finish it provides.

  1. I’m so torn on a lot of foundations. I’m one of those women who still suffers from acne occasionally in my mid 20s, so I try not to put too many layers of anything on my face. I’ve been getting picky about needing to find foundations that have spf protection in them already. However, the proof is right up there that this is a great foundation for those of us with a bit of spotting or acne scars.

  2. Yes, try it and let me know what you think MaRae! xo

  3. Does the moose last all day and keep your face matte?
