When Urban Decay released the Naked 3 late last year, I was all on YouTube talking bout, “Buy it! Buy it!.” But that’s only because it’s the only palette of its kind that you can buy in a brick and mortar store (Coastal Scents sells a dupe you can buy online here). Also, because, well, Urban Decay shadows are so friggen velvety I foam at the mouth whenever they come out with something new.

Well, ladies, Thanks to G over at Nouveau Cheap, I’ve discovered some dupes of the drugstore variety.

Wet n Wild: “Smoke and Melrose”

urban-decay-naked-3-dupeYes ma’am. Wet n Wild dropped these two rose-toned nude palettes as a part of their Fall 2014 Limited Edition Coloricon Eyeshadow Collection, and your girl could not WAIT to test them out to see how they measured against the Naked 3. And sure enough, SEVERAL of the colors are dupable. Don’t believe me? See here:

Major Differences:

Urban Decay has 12 shadows vs. Wet n Wild’s two palettes give you 10

Naked 3 has a retail value of $54. vs. Each Wet n Wild Palette will cost you $3.99

Urban Decay shadows are, of course, of a higher quality, so you won’t get as much fallout.

Quality of the Wet n’ Wild Shadows:

I’ve been disappointed with the quality of a lot of the newer Wet n Wild palettes, but I am happy to report these don’t follow that trend. These shadows are actually very pigmented, provided you use a primer. Yes, ladies, DO NOT just try to brush these colors on your lids without the use of a primer. For extra vibrancy, spritz your makeup brush with a little bit of water or a makeup setting spray.

Where to buy these palettes:

I’ve only spotted them at Walgreens for now, but I was also told they can be found at Harmon Beauty Stores.

Final Verdict:

These get an A in my book. Pigmented, great colors on any skin tone.

Have you tried these? If so, where did you find them? If not, what are your favorite drugstore dupes?
