Filming has been suspended for ABC’s Bachelor in Paradise amidst accusations of misconduct. The incident involves Corinne Olympios, 24, and DeMario Jackson, 30. Both were former contestants from the Bachelor franchise and were in Mexico hoping to find love.
In a series of tweets Los Angeles Times reporter Amy Kaufman got the scoop
Now that the names were out in the open DeMario and Corrine began to tell their sides of the story.
TMZ reported that Corinne and Jackson met at the bar and had a drink or two, three, or five. DeMario says Corinne jumped onto his lap and started kissing him. DeMario then says Corinne suggested they head over to the pool all while the cameras were still rolling. He says she put her genitals in his face and he began licking. They did not engage in sexual intercourse DeMario said because of the alcohol. DeMario recalls the next day everything was fine between he and Corrine. However, days later they were called in by the Executive Producer because one of the show producers played back the footage and was “uncomfortable”.
Well, unfortunately as of right now there isnt a side because she isn’t saying much and has little memory of that night. Apparently Corinne was so inebriated she did not remember the encounter. She did however hire a lawyer and released a statement:
“I am a victim and have spent the last week trying to make sense of what happened on June 4. Although I have little memory of that night, something bad obviously took place, which I understand is why production on the show has now been suspended and a producer on the show has filed a complaint against the production. As a woman, this is my worst nightmare and it has now become my reality. As I pursue the details and facts surrounding that night and the immediate days after, I have retained a group of professionals to ensure that what happened on June 4 comes to light and I can continue my life, including hiring an attorney to obtain justice and seeking therapy to begin dealing with the physical and emotional trauma stemming from that evening.”
There’s no way the “Bachelor in Paradise” star would knowingly take advantage of a drunk woman
Everyone saw them kissing and having fun together. It was known the next day, just two people who hooked up, nothing out of the ordinary. There was other hookups between other cast members like any other season of Paradise, but for some reason this one is being brought to light. Doesn’t make sense.”
she also added
“To me and everyone else, it just seemed like crazy fun Corinne that we’re used to because for the next two days we kept filming,”
“So there was never any moment that we felt unsafe or that I thought that she felt unsafe.”
I personally didn’t [ask if she had too much to drink] because I thought she was just being the normal girl she usually is. And Corinne’s one of my friends too, and that’s what bothers me because I’m getting a lot of heat now, a bunch of us are, for not taking her side but the thing is, there really wasn’t a side,”
“If someone’s getting hurt and you’re my friend, I’m going to step in but what I saw, I didn’t see any different than what I normally deal with.”
DeMario is currently staying at a relatives and was fired from his job as an Executive Recruiter because of the alleged sexual misconduct allegation. Inside Edition caught up with DeMario
“My character has been assassinated, my family name has been drug through the mud,”
“The only thing I want is the truth to come out. I feel like the truth will be able to come out through those videos.”
There’s a saying that goes: There’s your side, my side, and then there’s the truth. The investigation is still ongoing but could it be as simple as just releasing the tape? This a touchy subject for both parties. What do you think of the entire situation? Let’s hear it!
