Olay Professional Pro X Cleansing Brush Review
A few months ago I was in the market for something new for my face. I have oily, acne prone skin and I’ve tried just about every system under the sun to help combat this problem. Short of prescription remedies, I’ve had a hard time finding over the counter products to help me with my face.
The Olay Professional Pro X Cleansing Brush, however, has given me new hope. In short, this brush is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!! I’ve been using it for the last 6 weeks and my skin is smoother, softer, and acne breakouts are few and far between. I’m hoping that with continued use coupled with a new cleansing and toning system (still in the market for one), I’ll have completely new skin within the next 2-3 months.
I can honestly stay that this product cleans my face in a way it has NEVER been cleaned with a wash-cloth or my hands. I also love the fact that it’s easily accessible. For instance, I travel to New York quite a bit, so when I checked my travel bag I thought I had left my cleansing brush at my mother in law’s house. Did I freak? Not at all. I had a few ExtraBucks coupons, so I drove to my local CVS and picked up a new one for $17 (after coupons and discounts.) These bad boys retail for $29.99, however, you can snag it here on amazon for $22. Two replacement brush heads will run you about $12 at full price. Compared to the Clarosonic Mia which retails for $120, this brush is S.T.E.A.L.

It comes with this travel size cleanser. It works okay. |
My only con, so far, has to do with replacing the batteries. The lack of grooves on the product base makes it virtually impossible to get it open. I actually used my teeth to pull it apart and thereby created my own grooves with my teeth! Maybe not the smartest move, but it got the job done! lol
What are some of your tried and true skin care remedies??
Hey, Boo! My name is Lisa and you’ve stumbled upon my own little corner of the world. I’m a 30 something-year-old writer/mother/wife who happens to love lipstick, high heels, blackness, and the truth. You’ll find a mix of everything on this site, so I won’t bore you by trying to define this space. I hope you stay awhile!
I have this as well and loved it when I used it! I actually got a Clarisonic for free shortly after getting this, so I haven’t picked this up in a while. I actually would love for someone else to be able to make use of it, so maybe I should sell it or something =p
Wish I tried this before the clarisonic
don’t be! I still want the clarosonic (you can get it in pink!) lol…but for now, it’s a great dupe.
I have this brush too and I love it! It deep cleans for a fraction of the price of a Clarisonic. Thanks for sharing your review!
Thank you for reading!! xoxo
I love a good cleansing brush!
I know, me too! Thanks for stopping by my blog and welcome back from gay old paris! xoxo
I’ve been using this brush for almost 2 years and I LOVE it. Back then, I was on the verge of buying the Clarisonic but my friend told me about this one. I don’t know why so many folks have problems opening the bottom though…you just grab it from the sides and kind of twist it back and forth until it comes off. But yes, this brush is a great alternative to the Clarisonic. It really exfoliates and allows your facial cleanser to deep clean so that it can work to its full potential (ok now I sound like I work for the company lol).
i’ll have to try your way to open it again once I need to replace the batteries. But yeah, this item is a gem!! xoxo
So glad I found your blog and this post. I’ve been thinking of getting a Clarisonic but after seeing this brush review am excited to buy and try it. Thank you!!!
