As this was our first Easter with our beloved Jackson Blaise, I wanted to be sure to capture the occasion with a family photo shoot.
I am not a super religious person, but as I’ve gotten older I’ve developed a really strong sense of faith, and the birth of my son only strengthened my connection to God. Easter, for me, represents faith, and newness, and the idea that if you believe, all things are possible. I have been praying for a lot this year, a lot, but each day, even on the dark days, I get up and thank God for all of the blessings I have in my life. I believe gratitude is the gateway to increase.
I spent a lot of time stressing about this blog, wondering if people read my posts, and comparing myself to all the other bloggers out there, but when I rebranded last month I let it all go. I’m so proud of how far I’ve come and the strides I’m making, and I am so very very thankful for every single one of you who clicks on a post. Thanks again, and I hope you enjoy these pics!
Deciding what to wear on Easter can be a bit tricky, but once I picked a color scheme (Pink, Gray, and White) everything really fell into place. What say you?
My skirt, as you know by now, is from Ebay, but to make it extra puffy, I’m actually wearing another costume type tutu underneath. I also got that tutu from ebay for about $5 shipped. My shoes are Steve madden, buy similar here, My top is actually is an old Arden B dress i had in my closet, but you can buy a similar top here. or here.
I. Love. My. Boys.
Jackson Blaise’s suit is Koala Baby from Babies R Us. His shoes are Payless, and his Tie is Janie and Jack, buy here.
Hey, Boo! My name is Lisa and you’ve stumbled upon my own little corner of the world. I’m a 30 something-year-old writer/mother/wife who happens to love lipstick, high heels, blackness, and the truth. You’ll find a mix of everything on this site, so I won’t bore you by trying to define this space. I hope you stay awhile!
