“I have no business being someone’s mother.”
Those were the words I said to my best friend when I called to tell her I was expecting my first child. I couldn’t conceive of the idea that I would soon be responsible for another human life. But here I am, mothering, and now I can hardly recall who I was before Jackson Blaise.
He is the single most important thing in my world, and being his mother these last 10 months has been an experience I couldn’t begin to describe in words. He. Is. Everything.
Now, for those of you who are deciding what to wear on mother’s day, I think simple with with splashes of color, and of course, leopard print is always the way to go.

Oh, and if you’re anything like me, any reflective period in your life has a sound track. This year’s theme song has been “In My Life” by the Beatles. This rendition by Ed Sheering sends me over the moon. Enjoy!
