Audible.com & $200 Amazon Giveaway!

Audible.com & $200 Amazon Giveaway!

Last week it was a Sephora Giveaway. This week it’s Amazon. That’s right, ladies, ’tis the season for giving and give I shall. I’ve teamed up with some of my fabulous blogger boos to give you an opportunity to win an amazing prize, but before we get into that I want to spend some time letting you know about an amazing idea for a holiday gift.

Traditionally, every year I give my husband a subscription of some sort as part of his Christmas gift. Usually it’s to Men’s Health or some other appropriate magazine, but since becoming parents, gone are the days when we can just sit down and leisurely thumb through our favorite magazine or book.  That’s where Audible.com comes into play. Audible.com is an online audiobook subscription program and it’s super easy to use.

audible.com I spend 3-4 hours a day commuting to and from work, so having a subscription to audiobooks works perfectly for me. That’s why I’m thinking my husband would appreciate having books to listen to while he’s at the gym or during his commute.  With the New Year just around the bend, I’m looking forward to listening to books about entrepreneurship, saving money, and becoming-the best me. The Power of Now, Bossy Pants, and Amy Poehler’s,Yes Please are currently on my list of must-reads. Incidentally, you can try your subscription, risk-free, for free for the first 30 days, and for $7.49 a month for three months, thereafter. Pretty sweet deal, if I do say so myself (I’d been paying the full price!) Use this coupon HERE to access this special promotion.

Audible.com is also pretty great for kids too. Just imagine, instead of plopping your little one down in front of the TV, you can have someone read to your kid FOR you. I’m in the process of teaching my son French, so even though he’s only 17 months old, I was able to introduce him to French via my Audible.com App.

Baby’s First Words, btw, is amazing and comes in several languages. It’s the perfect way to start getting your kid used to the sounds of a foreign language through song and rhyme. This audiobook is constantly playing in our house, no matter what our son is doing.

So as you’re finishing up your holiday shopping (more gift ideas can be found HERE and HERE), be sure to keep audible.com on your list.
