What to Wear With a Chambray Top
I have several chambray tops, most purchased within the last three years. My biggest issue with chambray shirts has been trying to find on that has a more relaxed fit. Not necessarily in sizing, but in feel. Many of them have that hard denim feel, if you know what I mean.
But then I found this chambray top from The Gap (similar HERE and Here) and I’m never looking back. The color and feel is JUST right. Not too thin, perfect for wearing alone, or layering in the colder months.
So, can I be honest with you guys? Here’s the deal: I’m 10 pounds heavier than I’d like to be and as a consequence shorts are VERY challenging to wear. I’ve always had a little bit of booty, but this much booty is getting out of hand. So much so that I’ve gone up a size in shorts and still, I run the risk of exposing the entire world to my ghetto booty.
Now, I write all of this to explain why I opted to wear these shorts with a long-sleeved top. Believe it or not, I consider my style of dress to be on the conservative side. Last week’s post was completely out of my comfort zone, and though I loved the color combination, I doubt I’ll ever repeat the look. If I’m wearing short shorts I like to pair them with a long sleeved top like so:
I think style is all about mixing and matching until you find a system that works for you and your body type. I’m constantly making adjustements to what I wear because what looked great on me last year, this year, looks entirely different. As we evolve so should our sense of style.

Just Fab “Kora” Fringe Sandals. Similar HERE
While I work hard to get back to pre-baby weight, I encourage you all to join me in adjusting your style to suit your body type, no matter your size. I may feel chubby, and others may be rolling their eyes as I type, but it doesn’t matter. I’ll never look as though I feel at odds with my body. Embrace the skin you are in and really you can make ANYTHING work. Confidence is everything. Everything.
