How to Wear a Crop Top
When the summer months hit I find myself wearing crop tops a lot. I don’t let the fact tact that my tummy is no longer as flat as it once was stop me either. I just wear them.
There really isn’t a science to figuring out how to wear crop tops. But given that I wear them more often than not, I have taken note of a few tweaks I make to my ensemble to make sure I always feel comfortable when showing some skin.
How to Wear a Crop Top
So here’s the thing with crop tops: too much croppage = no bueno. So as you can see above, I don’t wear crops that go higher than the belly button. Furthermore, I usually wear long pants or midi skirts with my crops. Crop tops and short skirts/shorts aren’t usually my style. In fact, when I did go for that look in this post, I felt out of sorts.
If you’re worried about showing too much belly, high waist pants/skirts will save you from feeling overly-exposed, but will still allow you to show a little skin.
As a mom and now brand coach, it’s become really important for me to be 100% comfortable in my own skin. This includes fashion. And though I will always love heels and showcase them here, going forward I want to start sharing more realistic looks. I take pride in being that “pulled-together” mom, but I’d be lying if I said I wear heels all the time. I spend most of my days in flats or these leopard print sneakers I got from Forever21 3 years ago.
Since this blog is all about inspiring women to indulge in their love of beauty and fashion, I want to do just that in a way that is authentic and attainable. That being said, I look forward to sharing more looks with you guys that feature fashion that is more laid back and fun.

Hey, Boo! My name is Lisa and you’ve stumbled upon my own little corner of the world. I’m a 30 something-year-old writer/mother/wife who happens to love lipstick, high heels, blackness, and the truth. You’ll find a mix of everything on this site, so I won’t bore you by trying to define this space. I hope you stay awhile!
Nailed the look. Love it! And yes, being comfortable in your own skin is a beautiful thing. You look gorgeous!
