Is it weird that I’m not sure I would actually want to attend New York Fashion Week? I love fashion and I love glitz and glamour, but I’m a bit of an introvert so I prefer to catch up on all things NYFW from the comfort of my computer screen!
I love being able to go to my favorite fashion sites to see what’s hot and trending for the upcoming season. Last Spring, designers showcased the hottest fall trends during Spring ’15 New York Fashion Week. Last week, we saw some of those very trends repeated during the Fall ’15 shows. My favorite trend, by far, is the checkered print pattern.
I’m really big on trends that can be worn year-round. Spring and Fall are pretty short seasons here in the Northeast so being able to find items that can be worn throughout both seasons is a win in my book.
This lightweight checkered print boyfriend shirt can be worn alone on warm days, or layered beneath a jacket or sweater. I opted to wear it beneath this super cute leather-inspired Moto Jacket from the Sears Metaphor collection. When I saw that it was on sale for only $36, I snatched it up so fast I almost knocked the rack over.
While the sears Bongo Brand is marketed towards juniors, I was able to find pieces that worked well with the more sophisticated styles you’ll find in the Metaphor line. So mix and match, ladies! Mix and Match!
What are some trends you like to wear in the spring and fall?
