Holiday Outfit Idea
The holidays are here and to say I am woefully unprepared would be an understatement. I haven’t purchased a single gift or card, and I haven’t even thought about our travel plans. I know, however, that we’ll be traveling to the New York City for what may be our very last Christmas in the house I’ve come to call my second home.
Okay, can I be honest with you guys? Christmas isn’t the happiest time of year for me. I’ve tried to get to the root cause of my feelings of dread when it comes to this holiday, but I always come up empty. All I know is it feels like a lot of pressure, too much pressure, and I wish I could avoid entirely.
Having a photoshoot in a killer holiday outfit, however, has the uncanny ability to bring about a wee bit of my repressed holiday cheer. Indeed, there’s just something about this green tulle skirt and bright red lip that even had me humming along to some holiday tunes.
By the way, if you’re in the Boston area in search of a photographer, contact my girl Cate. She’s the best!
After we spend the holidays in New York this year, my husband and I plan to create our own traditions, sans pressure and sans stress! We look forward to sleeping in late, eating pumpkin pancakes in our pajamas. and opening a few small presents with our family.
I really think that’s what this season is about. Spending time with your family, and creating traditions that speak your love language.
