Too Faced Peanut Butter and Jelly Eyeshadow Palette Review
I just got this palette last night and wanted to rush and put up this review! The too faced peanut butter and Jelly Eyeshadow Palette launched last week on Ulta.com and I was too pumped to snag it.
We were first told about this palette early in the new year, so I couldn’t wait for it to be available in stores. The colors just screamed women of color friendly. Once I got the palette, I dove right in and created this look:
As we all know, I am not a makeup artist by any means, so I am so very certain that the amazingly talented youtube makeup artists will soon be releasing some far more creative looks. But for us regular gals who just like to play in makeup, this palette makes it is fairly easy to create looks.
Gorgeous colors and smells like peanut butter and jelly! The price ($36) is pretty on target for a higher-end palette, so I don’t feel shortchanged. I will say, however, that this is not the most pigmented eyeshadow palette I’ve ever tried. You will need a primer with this palette, AND if you have dark skin, you should be using a white eyeshadow base like this or this to make the purple shade (jelly) really show up against your skin.
Here is a screenshot taken from my video review (again, this was a quick review so this isn’t my prettiest work):
Overall, I’m happy with this palette. It’s a great all around palette and the colors are just perfect for women of color. My only wish is that the palette has included a deep blackish-brown shade to allow us to create a more smoked out look. If you want to buy this palette you can do so by clicking HERE.
