Black Girls Tan, Too: How I Stay Tan and Protected All Summer Long Using Hawaiian Tropic® Silk Hydration™ Weightless Sunscreen

Summer is here, which, of course, means warm weather, sandy beaches, and summer tans! Yes, folks, I said summer tan. With age and confidence, I have developed a fierce love for the skin I am, which is why I take care to treat her ever so gently, particularly during the summer months.

That’s whereHawaiian Tropic® Silk Hydration™ Weightless Sunscreen comes into play. As I mentioned above, I want to glow this summer, not expose myself to damaging UV rays, so here’s what I love about this sunscreen and moisturizer above all others:

  • It’s Water-resistant for up to 80 minutes.
  • It’s affordable. I picked mine up at my local Walmart for less than $8
  • It Smells sooo good, not that traditional sunblock fragrance we all know and hate.
  • It’s a safe and effective broad-spectrum UVA and UVB sunscreen
  • It has  a unique breathable formula that feels as if it is barely on. The light soft texture feels weightless on your skin while providing 12 hours of “moisturization,” so your skin feels silky soft while being safely UVA/UVB protected.
