Andrea Grant of Jacksonville, Florida is more than a burn survivor, she is and odds-defying soon-to-be Mom.
Andrea and her brothers survived a horrific gas explosion when they were children, and doctors told her she’d never be able to carry a child beyond 4 months. The scarring, they said, would prevent her belly froms stretching enough to carry a child to full term.

“On Aug 14 The Year Of 2001 My Life Changed Forever My Brother & I Were In A Home Gas Explosion I Have To Remind Myself & My Followers Who I AM & What Ive Been Through & Over Came…… The Road Was Hard & I Remember Everyday Of It Like It Was Yesterday…..The Smells The Taste Of Smoke That Lasted On Our Breath For Weeks After Waking Up……My Friends & Family See Me As Strong Andrea But Reality God & My Mother Made Me This Strong & Tough…… My Mother Raised Me To Believe I Was/Am Beautiful… .Even When On Days I Know I Was Hard To Look At.”
Grant is now 37 weeks pregnant and gleefully proving her doctors wrong. The gorgeous photos that have since gone viral were taken by photographer Terrance Armand.
