Spread the love

There is hardly a sorrow comparable to what we will all undoubtedly feel when the First Family departs in a few short months.
*heavy sigh*
Auntie Mich, however, isn’t going out without one last magazine cover. In the latest edition of Vogue Magazine, our first lady graces the cover and is featured in an article aptly titled:
Michelle Obama: A Candid Conversation With America’s Champion and Mother in Chief
I’ll leave you to read the entire article HERE, but one quote, from our beloved POTUS, stands out:
Michelle never asked to be First Lady…Like a lot of political spouses, the role was thrust upon her. But I always knew she’d be incredible at it, and put her own unique stamp on the job. That’s because who you see is who she is—the brilliant, funny, generous woman who, for whatever reason, agreed to marry me. I think people gravitate to her because they see themselves in her—a dedicated mom, a good friend, and someone who’s not afraid to poke a little fun at herself from time to time.”
Hey, Boo! My name is Lisa and you’ve stumbled upon my own little corner of the world. I’m a 30 something-year-old writer/mother/wife who happens to love lipstick, high heels, blackness, and the truth. You’ll find a mix of everything on this site, so I won’t bore you by trying to define this space. I hope you stay awhile!
