Listen, I don’t know about you, but when I’m 80 years young, I want to be Ernestine Shepherd.
In fact, I’d like to be her today. If only I could stop eating sour patch kids and cheesecake. But I digress, according Wikipedia:
Ernestine Shepherd (June 16, 1936) is an African-American bodybuilder who is best known for being, at one point, the oldest competitive female bodybuilder in the world, as declared by the Guinness Book of World Records in 2016 and 2017; as of 2016 she is 80 years old and still an active, albeit no longer competitive, bodybuilder.

Hey, Boo! My name is Lisa and you’ve stumbled upon my own little corner of the world. I’m a 30 something-year-old writer/mother/wife who happens to love lipstick, high heels, blackness, and the truth. You’ll find a mix of everything on this site, so I won’t bore you by trying to define this space. I hope you stay awhile!
