Tia Mowry has never shied away from sharing her struggle with weight. She has publicly shared her battle with endometriosis and losing that post-pregnancy weight.

She called out the accusations as a “form of body shaming”, and explained her weight gain to HuffPost live.
“I am not pregnant, I am just happy. I’ve gained these extra 10 [or] 15 pounds because of my cooking show. … I’m just enjoying life and when I want to drop the pounds, I will, but right now I’m happy with who I am. But it is a form of body shaming, I will say that, and it’s pretty unfortunate. …We live in a society that is so obsessed with being perfect … why can’t we just be us?”
Her instagram account is an ode to the war against calories, exercise, and a food diary. Today she did it for the gram, posting a picture of her weight loss progress.
“I’ve lost 20 pounds! Many asked how? Diet and cooking out of my cook book #wholenewyou,”

Whole New You, her new cookbook, is what she credits for her success.
Tia cites her struggle with endometriosis as the motivation for her fitness journey. “Endometriosis basically grows from inflammation” Mowry said. For Tia, Whole New You, was her way to:
“clean myself out and get rid of inflammation in my body”.

Whole New You puts a focus on whole foods that make you feel good and are good for you. It is centered on ditching dairy, refined carbs, and processed foods It includes a ten day meal plan to get you started, healthy twists on comfort foods like fried chicken and collard greens, and tips and tricks for eating on the go. It definitely seems to have worked for her. Grab your copy of Tia’s new cookbook, HERE.
