While the internet is buzzing about the release of Jay-Z’s 13th studio album 4:44, it appears that the Carters may have unwittingly revealed the names of the twins.
In court documents obtained by TMZ, Beyonce and Jay-Z filed legal documents Monday (June 26) to rights to the names Rumi and Sir Carter. The documents coincide with the date it is rumored the twins were released from the hospital.
TMZ also went very deep into their speculation of the meaning behind the names. Rumi is the name of a 13th century Persian poet and Sir appears in the line of his most famous poem. I’m sure the Carters have their own special significance for the names that they’ll reveal with time.
As reported by TMZ, the trademarks are for fragrances, cosmetics, key chains, baby teething rings, strollers, mugs, water bottles, hair ribbons, playing cards, tote bags, sports balls, rattles and novelty items.
Now all we need are those baby pics!
How do you feel about the (alleged) names of the newest Carters?
