Fenty Beauty has these brands shook, and I’m here for it! Within the last week, CoverGirl has announced two Black spokeswomen for new beauty campaigns: Issa Rae and Ayesha Curry. Our sisters are serving straight up #BlackGirlMagic in their new promotional shots, too!
Issa Rae’s shot is giving retro glam.

I remember being an awkward black girl in high school, reading the pages of my favorite magazines, casually flipping through @COVERGIRL ads, singing their slogan in my head. Never EVER in my life did I imagine I’d be one. I am SO honored and SO excited for what’s to come. Visit @COVERGIRL to learn more #COVERGIRLMADE
Covergirl even provided Issa Rae’s look for the Emmys (see more looks HERE)

Not to be outdone is model and Basketball wife, Ayesha Curry.
Before Ayesha was a Basketball wife, Ayesha was a child model and actress. The mother of two seemed to be happy to get back in front of the camera.
My first makeup memory was running down the beauty aisles with my mom getting to pick my very own lipstick. It was a COVERGIRL pink glittery lipstick that made me feel so good about myself – even though it probably wasn’t my shade ?. Well, I am so excited to share that now I get to take my baby girls down those same aisles, and they get to see their mama as a #COVERGIRL! I am so honored and thrilled to join the iconic women of the #COVERGIRL family and be a part of a brand that empowers women to embrace their originality. Congrats Ayesha and Issa Rae! I’m looking forward to the next crop of gorgeous Black women featured in a beauty campaigns.
