Yes, you read that title correctly. No click-bate over here. Felicia Mesadieu is over her thin edges, so she has opted to simply do away with them to see if by doing so they will grow back longer and thinner.
Felicia says she has traction alopecia, and is hopeful that by shaving off her edges she will see new growth.
Let me just say this: I have a tapered cut with shaved sides. I’ve been shaving my sides for almost 2 years, and my thin edges are still thin. As my hair grows back, the hair closest to my temples is visibly thinner than teh rest of my hair. In other words, I do not believe that Felicia will see the results she’s after. Watching her journey, however, will make for some great Youtube entertainment, so I’m looking forward to keeping track of her progress.

Do you think Felicia’s drastic regrowth method will work? Sound off below!
Hey, Boo! My name is Lisa and you’ve stumbled upon my own little corner of the world. I’m a 30 something-year-old writer/mother/wife who happens to love lipstick, high heels, blackness, and the truth. You’ll find a mix of everything on this site, so I won’t bore you by trying to define this space. I hope you stay awhile!
I hope so.
I have thin edges due to a form of scarring alopecia ….sure wish shaving was all it took. When I
shave it seems to take longer to grow back each time ?.
I wish you all the best on your journey. Keep us updated.
So Lisa , did it help you ? I’m so curious. Thinking of trying it myself, I just hope it doesn’t take more than once .
you would have to ask the woman featured in this post. I’m just the writer who wrote about her story.
