Listen, y’all already know I’m not here for Epidemic’s delusional version of events. If you need a reminder, click HERE. Let me also say that I am pro-snapback photos. I’ve always gladly shared the photos of women post-baby because I too looked pretty damn good after having my son. Three months post-baby and I was almost at pre-pregnancy weight.
You couldn’t tell me nothing, either. I felt good, looked good, and that was it. But I was also honest about how I lost the weight:
- I only gained 28 pounds throughout my pregnancy.
- I worked my entire pregnancy, walking too and from the train station every day for 8.5 months.
- I nursed my son for 18 months.
- I ate relatively well throughout my pregnancy as well, and didn’t suffer from binge eating and craving sessions.
Every pregnant woman’s journey is unique, however, I think most of us will agree that giving birth to an entire human being is the most physically and mentally challenging event we’ll ever endure. The first few days are probably the worst. You ain’t sleeping worth a damn, and if you are nursing, that little toothless savage is wreaking havoc on your breasts. Also, let us not forget that the first 3-5 days post-baby you are also walking around with what amounts to a diaper to catch all that excess blood your body’s been holding for 9 months. My mom was basically my nanny in the early days too, and despite that, I had it rough. Baby blues are real! Needless to say, 7 days post-partum this was not my focus:
Clearly, Excavation wants us to believe that she is just fine post baby. And that’s fine for her, I suppose, but she is not a private person. She has the eyes of the world on her. What purpose does it serve women and womanhood to present an image of pregnancy and post-pregnancy that isn’t real? I’m not asking her to lie and show herself fat, bloated and miserable, but shit say something real.
“I remained stress/drama free & kept positive energy around me on a regular basis.”
I mean, Extension, girl, you ain’t feel no stress when your whole ass husband issued a public video apology for dogging you while you were pregnant? No stress when you tried to drag Torrei for being honest about the fact you began a relationship with her husband before they were divorced? Just keep it 100%. You had a whole ass trainer, a whole ass special diet, and this was you 1 week before giving birth:
m o t i v a t i o n monday ✨ Well Zo we made it?? ..At 39 weeks i can honestly say my body still wants to train but I’m going to take it easy and walk it out during these last few days until labor. I’m so proud of myself not only for getting through my pregnancy workouts but remaining strong mentally and physically for the sake of baby boy and our health! @rebeccabroxfit thank YOU for keeping me together.. i apologize for the early side eye mornings when i didn’t feel like dealing with your shit! i have nothing but love for u baby!? Lmao! The countdown begins.. and I’m SO READY! ?? #PregnancyisAmazing #MindOverMatter #Zosmama ?
Women are magical, we are, but we aren’t superhuman. I think we can all share our personal journeys while maintaining the honesty and the integrity of what it means to birth a human. I’m glad Evocation, the baby, and all are well, I am, but I really hope she works on endearing herself to the public going forward.
Hey, Boo! My name is Lisa and you’ve stumbled upon my own little corner of the world. I’m a 30 something-year-old writer/mother/wife who happens to love lipstick, high heels, blackness, and the truth.
