Per usual, our kinfolk showed up and showed out at this year’s Golden Globe awards. The red carpet was blessed and highly favored this evening, and it’s all owed to the amount of melanin permeating the Beverly Hilton. This year, stars donned black as a symbol of solidarity with victims of sexual assault.
Now y’all know we can kill it any color, and kill it we did. Take a look as some of our best and brightest:

Hey, Boo! My name is Lisa and you’ve stumbled upon my own little corner of the world. I’m a 30 something-year-old writer/mother/wife who happens to love lipstick, high heels, blackness, and the truth. You’ll find a mix of everything on this site, so I won’t bore you by trying to define this space. I hope you stay awhile!
Loved the Golden Globes – what a great movement ! Wearing black gave a voice to the TimesUp movement ! I was impressed. I wrote my Golden Globes post on the silhouettes of the dresses that showed so well in black .
